Heather Massey, Associate Curator
Of mixed Jamaican and Canadian heritage, it is a great personal joy for Heather to instruct youth about the achievements of peoples of African descent. Heather has spent several years working in Museums and Archives in the areas of Program Coordination and Facilitation for youth and adults, Event Planning and Collections Management. Heather currently works as an Archaeologist in the Toronto area while completing her degree in Anthropology at York University. She has future plans to research the African Diaspora at the Graduate level from an archaeological perspective. Heather is the mother of a teenaged daughter and greatly values her role as an educator not only at home but also in the community. She is continually inspired by the incredible potential, creativity and contributions of our youth. |
